Notes from the 12-15-11 Masquerade show:

The commentators for the evening were Empire Champion “The Revelation” Shane Marx and “Record Breaking” Tommy Daniels, who ended up brawling with one another at the end of the night.

“Hands of Steel” Seth Delay interfered in the PCW title match, costing Nemesis the win. Seth Delay and Nemesis will wrestle one another on Friday, December 16th.

Daisho (Kyle Matthews and Vordell Walker) rolled to another devastating win, with their young boy entourage in tow, streamers and their music playing the whole time. The crowd (of around 200, matching the biggest crowd there to date) clearly knew the deal with Daisho and witnessed the brutal, quick match with great interest.

Shaun Tempers won the Platinum Trinity match, which was one of the Empire-booked “Dream Matches” featuring wrestling stars in the Georgia area that have never wrestled for Empire or PCW put in unique matchups. It has been announced that the next two dream matches are Dany Only and Kyle Matthews (taking place December 16th) and in a battle being billed as “Most Arrogant Wrestler in the State,” Shaun Tempers will take on Cru Jones on January 6th.

Because of the interference by the Konkrete Gorillaz for Aisha and Jay Fury and the Washington Bullets on Pandora’s behalf, the announced main event for the next Masquerade show (date TBA) will be a Gorilla Games match between all four Konkrete Gorillaz (Nemesis, Aesha, Geter and Brian Blaze) versus Jay Fury, Pandora, and the Washington Bullets.

Simon Sermon got a measure of revenge by pinning Marko Polo, and vowed to get his ring back the next night. His famous pinky ring (last seen in Rampage Pro Wrestling, as the Exotic Ones framed the Usual Suspects by planting that same ring on them) was stolen by Nina Monet, valet for Marko Polo.

“The Attraction” Hayden Young made his official match (re)debut at the Masquerade, his first match since March of 2010. He won in spectacular fashion with his Flying Squirrel splash from the top rope.

The Profits of Doom lost their first match. They were an undefeated 3-man team, dating back to the very first PCW (now Empire) show at the Masquerade.

Mr. Xcitement by virtue of his Platinum Royal win (with a heavy assist by the mysterious Supernatural, who showed up to help fight off the Empire members who outnumbered Mr. Xcitement) challenged Empire Champion Shane Marx to a match on December 16th. It was also announced the Zach Daniels would face PCW Champion Mason.

Notes from the 12-16-11 Academy Theatre show:

Mr. Xcitement was scheduled to have a title match against the Empire Champion “The Revelation” Shane Marx. However, the Empire instituted a new steroid testing policy. Mr. Xcitement complied with the urine sample, but when he was informed that the test results wouldn’t be ready for two days (and thus he would not get a title shot that night) he thew the urine onto Miss Rachael and other Empire members. Mr. Xictement has been suspended for two weeks for his actions. Shane Marx issued an open challenge, and Tommy Daniels responded.

Shane Marx defeated Tommy Daniels. Terry Lawler challenged Shane Marx to a title match on December 30th, which Shane Marx has accepted. The match on December 30th will be for the Empire Championship as the champion “The Revelation” Shane Marx will take on Terry “The Rocker” Lawler in a two-out-of-three falls, no-disqualification match.

The Dany Only/Kyle Matthews match was part of the Dream Match series that The Empire has booked. The match was phenomenal, video to be posted soon.

Marko Polo celebrated his birthday at the show, with Nina Monet singing “Happy Birthday” to him and presenting a cake with a picture of Polo on it. Supernatural arrived to the ring, and after a brief scuffle, Polo ended up face down in the cake. Simon Sermon brought Polo a present (and Exotic Ones shirt) but laid Polo out with brass knuckles as Polo admired the shirt. Polo and Pandora then got Simon Sermon’s ring back from Monet, who had stolen it weeks ago.

Fred Yehi’s debut was impressive as well.

Jagged Edge is undefeated at Empire wrestling.

December 23rd will be the fourth Platinum Classic Tournament. Past winners of the tournament include 1. Vandal (this was the birth of Vandal as a bonafide star in what was then PCW, and the “Ashy” chants) 2. Brian Blaze 3. Mason (this Platinum Classic led to Mason getting a title shot at Grotesque at Sacred Ground: Chapter Two)
