-Announced yesterday, this Saturday night in Baltimore it will be ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal defending his title against “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett with NO TIME LIMIT. This is Bennett’s opportunity to finally back up his boasting, and it’s Lethal chance to put Bennett’s title aspirations (and incessant complaining) to rest…at least for the time being.
- It is no secret that Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin showed a completely different side of themselves at “Final Battle 2011.” The Briscoe Brothers always have a knack for bringing out excessive violence in people. It is very intriguing going into Baltimore exactly how Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team will act in the ring.
- After the event this Saturday, be sure to join us for the ROH After Party at Della Roses located at 1501 S Clinton St in Baltimore! - The 2011 ROH Year End Awards are in the bag, and we would like to wish a congratulations to all of the winners of these fan selected awards. Not only do the winners deserve every bit of attention that they get, but so does everyone else in ROH who make this whole thing go around. We are a team and recognize that we would be nothing without all of the help from our great wrestlers, staff, and fans.
- The word is that El Generico is recovering slowly but surely from the neck and shoulder injury that he suffered at “Final Battle 2011.” We hope to have word on when Generico will be back in ROH action very soon. You can expect that when Generico returns, he will be looking for payback on his arch enemy Kevin Steen.
- Speaking of Kevin Steen, this Saturday will be the first time he has appeared at an ROH event as a contracted talent in over a year. ROH officials plan on keeping a very close eye on this revolting individual.
- Mark down January 21st, 2011 on your calendar because Ring of Honor plans to blow the roof off of the Norfolk Scope Exhibition Hall in Norfolk, VA! The big Tag Team Grudge Match with ROH World Champion Davey Richards and his protégé Kyle O’Reilly facing Roderick Strong and Michael Elgin with Truth Martini is sure to cap the night off with a bang! ROH officials also want everyone to know that Norfolk will see multiple first time matches and a Tag Team Championship bout. The card should be transparent after our weekend in Baltimore so be sure to check back early next week for match announcements and confirmations.
- ROH’s “10th Anniversary Show” will no doubt be a huge event, but it is about to get even bigger. Details will be available soon. Get your tickets now for our NYC return before it’s too late.
- Check out Ring of Honor’s new low pricing on many of our great DVD’s in the ROH Online Store. Several must-see DVD’s from 2011 are now reduced to $17.99 each including Best in the World 2011, Manhattan Mayhem IV, Honor Takes Center Stage Chapter 1 & 2, ROH Revolution Canada, and Supercard of Honor IV just to name a few.
